UNBEATEN YOUNGSTERS SEE OFF CELTIC The Leeds United representative team in Dubai made a big impression on the opening day of our involvement in the Emirates Airlines Dubai Sevens on Friday.
The day started with a 1-1 draw against AC Milan before Glasgow Celtic were beaten 4-1 in the second group game.
The final game of the day produced a 1-1 draw with Danish side Brondby and the young United side have progressed through to the KO stages of the tournament after finishing top of the group.
Academy manager Neil Thompson, under-18s coach Neil Redfearn, and technical director Gwyn Williams, have travelled with the party, and Thompson says the trip so-far has been both productive and enjoyable.
"It's been great so far," said Neil.
