Australian midfielder Neil Kilkenny is set to return to Leeds United.

The young midfielder has spent the past month in China with the Australian Olympic football squad.

Killa played in the Olyroos opening game - a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Argentina - but failed to figure again as the Aussies slipped out of the competition following a 1-1 draw with Serbia and a 1-0 reverse against Ivory Coast.

The Ivory Coast defeat on Wednesday afternoon ended the Olyroos hopes of progressing in the tournament.

The former Arsenal trainee is now keen to re-join his United team-mates and join the scrap for places in Gary McAllister's midfield.
