United defender hoping for Tottenham springboard...
Defender Leigh Bromby is hoping Saturday's FA Cup trip to Tottenham will provide another springboard for Leeds United's league campaign.
United head for White Hart Lane in the fourth round of the competition, but after going three games without a win, picking up one point from a possible six in the league, Bromby and co are looking to get back on track in readiness for the important league trip to Swindon next Tuesday.
"We're looking to get back on it," said Bromby.
"It'd be unrealistic to think you can go all season without losing again - these things happen.
"The way our season has gone, people will say this is a blip, but the top teams bounce back and that's what we want to do again.
"Sometimes these things get a bit over exaggerated, but that's because expectations here are massive, and we thrive on that. If we're being honest, we've played worse than we did against Carlisle in midweek and won by two or three goals.
"I don't think the Man U game had anything to do with what's happened since. It's co-incided with three bad games, but hopefully a good performance on Saturday will give us that extra confidence to take into Tuesday at Swindon."
Bromby was gutted to miss that memorable third round win at Old Trafford due to suspension, but he will be back in the fold for the latest Premier League test to face Leeds, at Tottenham on Saturday.
"Old Trafford was the big one," added Leigh. "I've played at White Hart Lane before, but we'll go there with no pressure.
"They have some real quality players, but who knows what will happen if we perform. It's a game we can really look forward to."
If you haven't got a ticket for White Hart Lane, the game is being screened live at Elland Road in the C&E Centre. Doors open at 3pm for the 5.15pm KO, food and drink will be served, and admission is completely free.
