The Oxford-born goalkeeper won a second successive promotion in 2010 when he played a part in Leeds United's return to the Championship.

Having been a member of the Wolves squad which won promotion to the Premier League in 2009, Shane made 22 appearances as Leeds clinched second spot in League One in 2010.

Having arrived to provide competition to Casper Ankergren, Shane impressed in pre-season and started the campaign as first choice. He kept five clean sheets in the opening 11 games before a thigh injury was to interrupt his campaign.

Shane, who had made over 300 appearances for Cheltenham before joining Leeds via a loan move at Wolves, made just one appearance between September and March, but upon returning to the side at Norwich he kept his place for the final weeks of the season.
